Sudanese military leader General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has offered temporary immunity and legal protections for participants in an upcoming national dialogue aimed at resolving the country's war. However, al-Burhan explicitly ruled out any return to political life or governance for Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti.
